Eats Everything has just announced his mixtape compilation series for fabric, which will be due February 19, 2016. Earlier fabric compilation mixes have come from seminal artists such as John Digweed, Andrew Weatherall, Tony Humphries, Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola and many more. Since its conception in 2001, the fabric mix series has risen to become one of the most respected in Europe; the release of one of these compilations can prove to be a pivotal moment in an artist’s career. It’s a notable highlight for Eats, who first took on the famous fabric decks in 2011 and has been returning ever since.
The mix includes music from the likes of Dixon, Cajmere, Danny Tenaglia, and music from his recently founded Edible label. Eats explains his track selection and his relation with the music as follows:
“[All of these tracks] have had some kind of meaning to me and I have played every one of them at fabric… some are old, some are new, some are bangers, some are groovers, some are trippy, some are euphoric, but they are all ‘fabric records’ and that’s what this mix is all about – condensing what I would do in Room 1/2/3 over four hours or so, into a 75 minute mix.”
Tomorrow on Friday December 18, Eats will touch down in Amsterdam to host an intimate party at beloved underground club Cruquiusgilde, where he’ll be supported by local heroes Beesmunt Soundsystem and William Kouam Djoko. Regular tickets are still available.
