Star Wars fans, you have a new festival destination it seems. Because apparently there is one taking place on the grounds where parts of the original Star Wars saga were shot. In Tunisia’s Nefta, Les Dunes Electroniques has just brought its third edition to a successful ending.
All of the original houses and props from the original set are still in place in the location, named Ong Djemel, which is set in the middle of the Tunisian desert. While visitors are free to discover the Star Wars set, you can enjoy a cool line-up featuring many local stars in combination with a range of international acts. The last edition, which ran from 20-22 of February this year, saw the likes of Derrick May, Kölsch, Superpitcher and N’to. Above is a small impression from 2014’s edition.
Potential visitors beware, as you’ll be dancing amongst your fair share of fan boys here.
