When Raaf turned 17, electronic music really got a grip on him and it never let go. Although enjoying a wide variety of electronic music, he preferred more club-oriented music. He started DJ’ing, and exploring the different styles, ultimately shaping his own.
In his sets Raaf plays a selection of house, deep-house and techno,laced with poppy hooks and with a heavy emphasis on groove. Typical for his sound are the ‘phat’ basslines and sexy vocals. Always maintaining the energy and vibe, he excels at reading crowds. Whether he has to open the night or play at peaktime, he delivers.
Venues and parties Raaf played include: Studio 80 (Soweso, Fakkit, Black Box), AIR Amsterdam (Midnight Freaks), Chicago Social Club (PLAK), Boom Festival, IAM Techno – HEM Kelder and UK Sounds 1.0 – Amstelhaven.
In June Raaf will host the 2nd room @ Club Air with Midnight Freaks invites the Martinez Brothers.
