Pepe Acebal was born and raised in Mexico City and after 10 years of DJ’ing and producing in the shadows, he finally got the recognition he deserved with an EP on Kindisch, the sister label of Get Physical. His ‘We will stay together’ EP got support from names such as, Catz N Dogz, M.A.N.D.Y., Phonique, Tiefschwarz, Djuma Soundsystem, Coat of Arms, Claude Vonstroke & Seth Troxler! Not the least names to get support from.
In the past he has been producing for Akbal Music, a high respected label in Mexico and also for Half Seas Over from Costa Rica, which has releases from Ray Okpara and Alex Niggeman as well.
Pepe is part the ‘El Cartel’ crew from mexico with names such as, Miguel Puente, Louie Fresco, Balcazar & Sordo, Climbers, Nobody Knows and Metrika who together will team up once in a while for dj’ing or producing. So more to expect soon from Pepe!
