HAARBAARBAAR. For the non-Dutch, HAARBAARBAAR stands for HAIRBARBARIAN and his long curly hair explains his name. He has only been playing since the summer of 2011 but already has some nice gigs on his resume. His Soundcloud popularity was growing so fast that it was impossible to keep him inside.
His first real gig was at AFTERFEST @ Chicago Social Club and afterwards he got booked for Stekker Festival, Straf_Werk, Zeezout, Amsterdam Open Air and more. His style can be described as the new Deep House sound with influences from disco and a more techy sounds with a funky bass. He calls it himself: Underground Pop, what Seth Troxler used as well to describe this style.
He is inspired by labels such as Diynamic, Visionquest, Hot Creations and Crosstownrebels. The most important thing for HAARBAARBAAR to play is to see the happy faces of the people who he plays for. If you want to see more of HAARBAARBAAR you should go to one of his next gigs:
