Help the rainforest recover after some of its most devastating wild fires ever by partying with a cause, and plant 30,000 trees with Het Oerwoudt.
The very special event is scheduled to take place 30 January, where De Zware Jongens and Crossovers join Monkey Business at Amsterdam’s Het Sieraad. The event promises a line up of top artists like: 2000 and One, Joran van Pol and Man With No Shadow. The event will also feature a fully immersive rainforest world, featuring the balloon creations of Micha de Haan, a backlight forest, personal spells, wire installations, video mapping shows and much, much more monkey business.
As some may know but, unfortunately, many may not, back in October 2015 terrible fires raged through Borneo and Sumatra. In order to help restore what was lost in this rainforest, the three organizations, DJs and the artistic programming will donate the proceeds from Het Oerwoudt toward 30,000 new trees to be planted in the region. Though much must be done, hopefully this benefit will begin the restoration process of one of Earth’s most cherished ecosystems.
De Zware Jongens, Crossovers and Monkey Business are organizations known to offer more than just good music, so this particular combination promises to be a wonderful experience.
