Meet the world’s smallest record player. Soundwagon is a Japanese invention that lets you actually play a record by placing it on top of any 33 1/3 rpm vinyl and letting it act as the needle on a record player.

Featured in the 2001 movie Scratch and various other media appearances around the world, the Soundwagon became one of the most sought after collectibles gadgets, even though it had already been in production since the 70s.

The Soundwagon is a self-contained record player, small enough to fit in the pal of your hand. It’s being driven by a 9V battery which also powers the built-in speaker. Here you can see it in action (you can skip through the first 2.25 minutes).
