Two companies on opposite sides of the world are taking the latest findings in engineering and combining them with LED artistry for some truly creative kinetic light sculptures itching to make their way onto festival stages around the world.

Las Vegas’ Fischer Technical and Dubai’s Build Up are two technology and automation companies at the forefront of the motion sculpture and LED art fields. Each company has worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment including the 2012 London Olympics, Jayz & Kanye West, Lady Gaga, and some of the largest firms in the Arab world (Fischer on the first three and Build Up on the latter, respectively), with work centered around motion graphics and lighting displays.

As Build Up describes it, the kinetic sculpture is, “the finest and most elegant tool through which a client can deliver multiple messages in a contemporary unprecedented style,” where “colourful lights and ripples invade the body of hundreds of LED symmetric spheres, the kinetic sculpture starts floating in an overwhelming harmony, leaving the visitors with an unforgettable experience”.

Below you will find examples of kinetic sculptures from both companies. Fischer was responsible for the Chinese Private Enterprise Pavilion and Build Up for their Dubai shopping center ceiling. I’m sure that when you watch these you will see exactly what I am talking about when I say that nightclubs and festivals would be foolish to not integrate such technology in their shows (extra points if you can send me an example of a venue using them), albeit I’m sure they’d have to be quite wealthy to do so.
