DROOG is the DJ collective of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe. From their start 6 years ago, DROOG has steadily built a reputation as one of the leading purveyors of forward thinking dance music, in Los Angeles and beyond. This Saturday, the gruesome threesome will touch down in Amsterdam for a set @ The Union Festival during our national holiday ‘Kingsday’.
In 2009 the trio made a leap into a new territory by launching an LA-based record label, Culprit, which has built steady momentum with successful releases from Matt Tolfrey & Inxec, Hot Natured, Lee Foss, SECT (Soul Clap, Tanner Ross & Sergio Santos), Subb-an, M A N I K and others and joining the ranks of the leaders of the new school of underground dance music. Having toured the US and Mexico extensively, Droog have since expanded with European and South American shows. Since 2011 the Los Angeles collective made a production breakthrough, delivering original material for underground marquee labels like Crosstown Rebels, Supernature, Last Night on Earth and Get Physical plus remixes for Culprit, Murmur, My Favorite Robot, Adjunct Audio, Lower East also getting attention. The list keeps expanding more and more as the boys keep expanding their sound throughout different parts of the world. Droog will be playing this Saturday @ The Union Festival , which is a collaboration between Straf_Werk, Bla Bla Music and The CORE, will host a royal line-up full of topnotch DJs that will be playing throughout the 18-hr duration of the event that will have in- and outside stages at the cozy Westerunie terrain. The Union will be a proper celebration of the monarchy, with a line-up that makes you grab a pen and paper and make a schedule for yourself so you don’t miss out on any of the artists that are playing all through the day and night.
