Definitively a member of the world’s Rechno elite, Italy’s Uto Karem is widely known by way of releases on the likes of Plus8, Tronic, and Sci+Tec.
It is, however, is own Agile Recordings imprint, which sees the bulk of his studio output, frequently hitting Beatport’s Top 10 in the process. Now, after years of singles, remixes, and EPs, Uto Karem has just released his debut LP – “Waking Up The Neighbours”.
Drawing on influences from New Order and Depeche Mode to Soft Cell, Uto Karem highlighted the melodic synth lines that first drew him to the world of Techno, which results in a blend of deep atmosphere with melodic notation, pulsating basslines and stripped back percussion.
