Do you have any personal favourite sets from over the years? I am sure there are many but if you have a handful to let us know…
Clearly every year has been special in some way, but I do have some favorites: UR in 2007, Derrick May and Luciano’s B2B in 2009, 2010’s The Chemical Brothers DJ set, Underworld in 2011, Visionquest in 2013 which was the only Italian date.

Can you describe 3 seminal moments in the growth of Movement as an event? What were some of the most important developments for the festival over the years?
The first big step was moving to Lingotto Fiere, most known Italy industrial compound and particularly fit for us; another big development has been adopting “cashless technology” as a strategic improvement of festival goers experience, money transfer and data gathering system; the third moment will be the upcoming edition, our 10th anniversary, the most important one.

Was there ever a major letdown? Was there ever an occasion where you thought that the festival would not go on the following year?
To run any enterprise in Italy nowadays is really hard every day, “making a business is an enterprise”, but I never thought to give up.

What is your relationship like with Movement Detroit? Have you attended? How does Torino compare with the city of Detroit?
We always considered Movement Detroit our big cousin, it is of course an Institution in the electronic music world and we fondly look up to them. I’ve attended several times and cherish the good time I’ve spent there.

Torino is always been compared to Detroit, considering the roots of the two cities in the automotive industry and in the underground cultural scene, one can say that nowadays also the clubbing and entertainment scene in Torino is constantly growing and hopefully it will resemble what Detroit offered already years ago.

What are some of your goals for the future of Movement Torino?
My main goal for Movement Torino is to consolidate our brand, Nationally and Internationally, with its Clever Entertainment concepts that give the festival goers a qualitatively high experience in a safe and interesting environment. Also, we always keep in mind the technological improvements: cashless system, interactive i-frames to book hotel packages and our very own digital ticketing system.
