If there was one track that has changed your life, which one would that be and why?
I was 12 when this was released and it basically was my start into electronic music. And the Prodigy (still) is the best live act on this planet (just by the way).
Quote from your bio: “I didn’t really hit you, I just highfived your face” Why did you chose to include that and what is the thought behind it?
It’s an old sentence from the times where I didn’t know much about artist biographies. I was young(er) and thought it would be cool. Today I know that it isn’t.
What is the coolest thing in your house?
The fridge.
What role does love play in your life as a musician?
I don’t think that love in my life as a musician has a different or more special role than in anyone else’s life who is not a musician.
Not too long ago you created your own label SOSO. How is that project going?
Pretty good I have to say. We started in March this year and are coming now to catalogue number 10. SOSO as a label is is a bit in line with my new EP – the music is quite different from what is released on my other label “der turnbeutel”. It’s a bit more techy and a little less poppy and melodic – maybe a bit more “intelligent”, maybe a little less for the dancefloor.
What names on SOSO shall we look out for in 2015?
Definitely Rico Puestel and Zusammenklang. And there is this guy, Oliver Schories – who will release his third album in March 2015 on SOSO. Not sure if it’s worth to listen to that.
Finally, any new years resolutions?
I never did and never will. Either you get things done or not, but a digit on the calendar won’t help you with that haha.
