Visionquest is coming closer towards its 50th release. For its 49th release they turned to a new pairing of Sonny Fodera & Gene Farris for their debut EP on the label, with Lee Curtiss and Freaks on remix duty.  We have the Lee Curtiss rework for you below.

Australian Sonny Fodera had huge hits both solo and with Green Velvet aka Cajmere, appearing on Cajual, Defected, Suara and many more top labels. For his debut EP on Visionquest he teamed up with Chicago house legend Gene Farris, who has been active since the nineties, runs his own Farris Wheel label and has released on Relief, Soma and many others.

‘We Work It’ is sure to be a standout anthem for the upcoming months. The track is is smooth house funk with bendy synths and slick mid tempo drums. The spoken word vocal snippet about the intake of various drugs and the drums roll give it some kind of spiritualness.

Lee Curtiss remix for ‘We Work It’ is much quicker and more of a peak time bit of tech house with textured, dynamic bass and plenty of drum fills. It’s a busier, more cosmic and tense cut compared to the original mix and you can be sure that it will build great pressure on the dance floor.

‘We Work It’ is out on vinyl and will be released digitally on March 31th including a bonus remix by Luke Solomon & Justin Harris aka Freaks.
