Richie Hawtin is set to embark on a North American college tour called ‘CNTRL: Beyond EDM’. The Canadian techno giant will act once again as a quality dance music representative while traveling from college to college in various cities across North-America, after his first CNTRL tour back in 2012.
Hawtin’s had this to say about the endeavour – set to take place from April 15-25:
“I hope that people walk away from the CNTRL tour with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the individual creativity that each artist and performer puts into their own shows. We hope that some of the participants and fans will be inspired to take their next steps at trying their hands at their own creativity.”
To join him on his tour are various colleagues and M_nus label familiars such as Dubfire, Matador and Chris Liebing. The different events during the CNTRL tour will also feature musical performances as well as courses on music production by Point Blank Music School and discussions with Hawtin, DJTechTools’ Ean Golden, and various guest speakers.
