You recently played a live show at London’s SW4. How was this compared to a DJ set? Did you feel any difference in energy from playing live to DJing?
We brought our friends PAJI and J.U.D.G.E to the SW4 gig and played some kind of hybrid Live / D
J set. When J.U.D.G.E sang our tune ’Disarray’ and PAJI played an amazing violin solo we had the feeling of being a band.

That’s where we see our future. Beside DJing we want to become a band (again) and work on our live show.

Is there an essential piece of production gear you use on a regular basis? What about on the road?
We are not really good at producing and finishing songs on the road. We both need the studio atmosphere and our instruments to actually write music on. Tube loves his old acoustic guitar and Berger became a big fan of the Prophet 6 synthesizer. On the road we are only able to find samples or come up with little ideas on the laptop.

Speaking of DJing, you will be in Amsterdam for ADE next week. What was your first experience like at ADE? When did you first attend?
Amsterdam is a super cool spot to hang out and having the chance to meet the whole dance music scene in two buildings on 1 road is probably something you can’t find anywhere else. Our first ADE was back in 2007 and we totally fell in love and had to come back year after year. You meet colleagues from all over the world, you make new friends and allies, you hear the latest gossip and there are just too many good parties. ADE we can’t wait!

Do you have any particularly memorable ADE stories you are willing to share us?
There are a few funny ones. I remember Mr. Berger coming home with a big stuffed bird from a wild party. Nobody (even himself) knows where he got this bird from.

We once went to a live sex show with Simon from Andhim. It was disgusting but we had to laugh so hard.

You will be playing the Suara event at Panama on October 16. How did your relationship with Suara form?Suara owner Coyu has been a friend for many years now and we play at his Kittie showcases a lot. Our biggest single ever “Imprint Of Pleasure” was released on Suara and it’s also the most successful release on the label to date. The big cat (Coyu) and his team are very professional and we like to work with them.

Welcome to the Suara / T&B symbiosis ? This event features sets from (amongst others) Coyu, Dosem, and Jeremy Olander. How do you say each one of you complements the other when playing in one night like this? We haven’t met Jeremy but Coyu and Dosem we’ve met many times before and we’ve always had good fun together. They both play a bit harder than we do which guarantees us an earlier slot. It’s an honour for us to get Panama cooking and let the Techno boys finish the meal.. Does that make any sense?

The only thing we’re sure of is that it’ll be a great night! Ladies and gents! Put on your dancing shoes!
