A while back we informed on an Amsterdam producer competition Vinylized that had a cool set of prizes for whomever would win. The winner would not only get free schooling in the art of production by professionals in the industry, monitor speakers or an interview in DJ Mag, but also an actual Vinyl release on Beatport and iTunes. As the submission date had been reached it was time for the jury to pick the top 5 artists from the huge amount of tracks that had been sent in.

The jury was “pleased with the professional level of all the submissions, which didn’t make the selection process any easier”, as a Vinylized spokesperson stated. After weighing down the very best tracks long and hard, the 16 jury members (consisting of Michel de Hey, Floris Groeneveld (Apenkooi), Reinier Suyderhoud (Pleinvrees), Tom van Wijk (AIR) to name but a few) selected the five finalists that will continue to the competition’s final.

Their names are Ghetto Chords, Playground Zero, Nathan Surreal, Hubert Kirchner and Roger Martinez. You can hear the five tracks by clicking here. You yourself also have a say in who gets to win, so after you’ve listened to the tracks and picked your favourite, go over here and cast your vote.

The winning Vinylized participant will get an impressive amount of prizes that will seriously help him or her to make their way to the next level of their musical career. Here’s what you will be getting if you should win the contest:
