Gearing up it’s second edition this December is Polaris Festival in Swiss mountain resort Verbier.

Located 2200 metres above the sea level (which is exactly 2201 metre higher above the sea than Amsterdam) lays The Black Mountain, or in the original The Mouton Noir. Located in the middle of Vebier’s ski slopes with stunning views of the Swiss Alps, The Black Mountain shall welcome the guests of Polaris Festival 2016 for a three day celebration with five stages and a shiveringly-good line-up.

The headlining bunch is notorious from Moodymann, Dixon, Lil Louis to the harder sounds of Richie Hawtin, Luciano and Chris Liebing. But thats far from it to be the end, the festival hosts all colours of the house and techno genre from Romanian minimal house by Barac, soulful techno by Swiss very own Deetron, jazzy and deep Osunlade, and then, oh, there’s Laolu, the author of last years summer anthem the remake of Dele Sosimi’s “Too much information“.

For one, the success of last year’s Polaris edition is not only in the mere fact of continuation. Just taking a short peek at the aftermovie below makes one slightly jealous of the honest vibe that went down last year – crazy jacking right at the back of Laurent Garnier (all except those two fur wearing chicks, of course). Polaris seems to be a laying down a promise to be a celebration bringing together music lovers in a really special, agent 007 worthy, location. Thus if you happen to be already craving for the mountains, keep this one on the look out.
