Yesterday word got out of a new charity festival. Nieuwlicht Festival is bringing together local and international artists from various corners of dance and pop music on April 9th on the Westergasterrein. All of the proceeds will be donated to a Guatamala focussed cause.
Various local, national and international DJs for the event have already been confirmed. These include artists such as D-Nox & Beckers, Pig&Dan, Coyu, Audiofly, Brazilian special guest Victor Ruiz, rising star Mirella Kroes, Cinnaman representing the Rush Hour crew, Olivier Weiter, and other Dutch acts such as Daniel Sanchez, Nuno Dos Santos, Apotheque and Beesmunt Soundsystem.
The festival is classified as an open-air concert, offering visual art on display, vendors for purchasing vintage or high-fashion garments, and fine food and beverages from some of the best outlets the city has to offer. Taking place within the renovated Westergasterrein venue, performances will take place within the halls of various industrial spaces.
Not only is NieuwLicht Festival combining music, live concerts and a beautiful location, but all the proceeds of the event are going to charity. The festival will choose a new cause to donate to for each new edition. On this debut, all profits are being invested to build a school in Guatemala.
