Following Fango’s latest album Tuono, which was praised by artists such as Marcel Dettman, Mixhell, Tim Sweeney, John Talabot, Maceo Plex, and DFA’s Jonathan Galkin, is a revisit by three of the most innovative producers around: Prins Thomas, Rebolledo, and Barnt and Jens.
Italian-bred Fango’s Tuono has been crowned by industry top players for all its weird, unfathomable brilliance. From Maceo Plex to Ame to Marcel Dettmann to Tale Of Us to Mano Le Tough, the reactions have been near to hysterical.
His body of work see’s releases for example on labels such as Hell Yeah records, Kompakt, 50 Weapons and his main home Degustibus Music, resulting in growing demand for Fango’s remix skills as well as his much loved drum programming.
Premiering exclusively here on DHA is the remix of Norwegian DJ extraordinaire and space disco heavyweight Prins Thomas. Way back in time, Prins started playing around as a DJ at a puerile age. Viewing it as an extension of his break-dancing efforts, he began mixing hip-hop, electro and the likes of Arthur Baker and Shep Pettibone. He then took up the bass and found himself playing in more bands than Norway has trees.
Having recently put out his Principe Del Norte album on Feb. 19th via Smalltown Supersound, Prins continues to build his status amongst tastemakers. In this release, Prins takes Tuono in from the raw and wraps it around a driving bass-line and horn synth texture.
Fango – Tuono Remixed will be out on March 4 on Degustibus Music.
