Treading throughout the infinite oasis of cultural electronica since 1995, DJ/producer and Monk Bar night club owner – Shahrokh – presents his exquisite original mix of atmospheric house and lovestruck synth-driven jams.
Sharokh’s stand-out point is his eclectic blend of influences from his Iranian childhood and German upbringing; a concoction many DJs can’t offer. He’s gone on releasing on labels such as Black Flame Records and Caus-N’-ff-ct Records, and his distinctive approach has caught the attention of artists such as Jazzanova, Carl Craig, Hans Nieswandt, DJ Deep, King Britt, Charles Webster, Peter Kruder and many more. He was also the esteemed nightclub owner of Mood Lounge, a club that once hosted artists such as Âme and many of the previously mentioned. He recently founded the Monk Bar in Karlsruhe. He usually spends the summer time in the southern territories of Europe – already making an appearance at this year’s Sonar Festival Off-week in Barcelona.
