Located in Rotterdam’s Central District, 6 venues and a partking lot will be transformed into the site of MTV presents REC. Festival.
As part of MTV Music Week 2016, REC. brings an eclectic lineup of electronic acts, hip hop & grime heavyweights, soul, and more. A simple breakdown of the lineup will yield the following:
– Global Sounds: Omar Souleyman, Awesome Tapes from Africa, Ata Kak, King Shiloh Soundsystem, G&B’s aka Frankie Rey and Nidia Minaj.
– Hip Hop/Grime: Mick Jenkins, Joey Purp, Terrace Martin, Sonny Green, Noname, Aristophanes and Carlos Niño, Skepta, Stormzy.
– Soul: Rhye, Cody ChesnuTT, Mayor Hawthorne and KING.
– DJs: SBTRKT, Fatima Al Qadiri, Sassy J, Iamnobodi, Antal, Randomer, Henrik Schwarz, Jameszoo, DJ Yoda, Palms Trax, and more.
Also on hand will be the likes of Rush Hour, Soulection, Red Light Radio and others keeping the party going at night at venues like Annabel, Transport, Bar, Biergarten and HipHopHuis.
