Norway’s one and only outdoor festival Sommerøya returns 18 – 19 August in a new location with a handful of the world’s best acts along for the ride.
Located in the SALT ARENA, with several giant Arctic pyramids rising 12 meters into the sky, the new space will feature both outdoor and indoor stages. The unique wooden structures are traditional fish-drying racks which is a big part of the Norwegian heritage. The space will feature a multi disciplinary art program consisting of 20 curated artists and groups providing lectures, panel debates, tech-talks, debates and more surprises.
Music-wise, Sommerøya will bring a collection of local and International acts. Amongst its local features are exclusive LIVE performances from Finnebassen and Of Norway. Fellow Norwegian producer and newcomer, Fredrik Bekkaasen brings his rougher techno vibes, while the hardware based live act +plattform knocks fans into dancing mode. International representation will come from the likes of KiNK, Stephan Bodzin, DJ Hell, Anja Schneider, Rødhåd and more.
