John Carpenter, the iconic director and soundtrack composer of movies like Halloween, Escape from New York and cult classic They Live, is going to be performing his oeuvre live for the first time in his life. He will do so at the 2016 All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in Iceland. Next to his soundtracks, Carpenter will also be performing songs from his debut album ‘Lost Themes’.

Carpenter (67) will be performing together with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies, as well as a full live band and a “spectacular stage production”.

‘Lost Themes’ was received with mixed reviews. Andy Beta of Rolling Stone magazine called the album appealing to “metalheads, goths and minimalist-EDM fans alike”.

Before his concert, a remix album of Lost Themes will also appear (release date October 16th). Who exactly is featured on the remix work is not yet known. There is also a follow-up to his debut album announced.
