Thanks to Red Bull Music Academy and Folder Studio, a new online game tests your knowledge of iconic album covers across a range of musical genres.
When playing, users are given the artist name and album title and they must choose between two potential answers. These two options begin as heavily pixelated images and slowly clear up exposing the correct answer. If the user guesses correct they rack up points and unlock information on that album. Points can then be displayed on the RBMA leaderboard and across social media.
The game tests ALBUM IQ against 4 genres: Metal, Hip Hop, Electronic & “Iconic NY” and is quite addictive, especially given its tendency to increase in difficulty while cutting users off after too many wrong answers. So, go test your skills and gain another pice to solidify your hipster credentials.
