#04 Kölsch – 1983 | Kompakt | Out now |
Kölsch is back at Kompakt. ‘1983’ is a record layered with classical production, affording several exquisite cuts that mesh to form a truly symbiotic work. Over two years in the making, the tracks were developed as demos and thoroughly road-tested during his live shows. The result is an elegant, anthemic, transcendent soundtrack, which engulfs the listener from the outset. Again you won’t be able to escape Kölsch’s tunes this festival summer.

#03 Stephan Bodzin – Powers Of Ten | Herzblut | Out now |
If you hear a track by Stephan Bodzin you will immediately recognise his signature sound. The melodies, Moog bass and the buzzing hats are all telltale signs of a Bodzin production. ‘Powers of Ten‘ contains a deeply personal sound. The artist says the LP is “an homage to Bob Moog, full Techno beats and sounds and space and party and ecstasy and dancing and listening and crying and feeling”.

#02 Maribou State – Portraits | Counter | Out now |
Maribou States debut album ‘Portraits‘ is full of tranquility and sadness. Though the duo has already released a string of EPs, ‘Portraits’ is their first full-length album. It has hard to find a genre for this album but who needs it if it’s simply good music.
