House music scholar Boris Werner is without a doubt one of the most charismatic figures in the Amsterdam scene, and has been for over a decade. But his personality, great taste in music and extraordinary mixing skills behind the decks have taken him around the world as well. The Amsterdam icon is bringing his indestructible grooove to Valhalla Festival on December 20th, where he’ll share the stage with Beesmunt Soundsystem, Ici Sans Merci , Prunk and Tsepo.

Goes without saying Boris Werner is known as a dj’s dj pur sang. However when he does produce his own music -for renowned labels like Voyage Direct, Get Psychical and Rush Hour- it’s excellence all the way. He takes his time in the studio and chooses quality over quantity any day. If that leads to beauties like his remix for good friend Tom Trago (Lost In The Streets Of New York) and beasts like ‘Set It Off’, surely no one will mind his strategy. His recurring Wip Wap Werner DJ marathon at Studio 80 have also contributed to his fame, like when last time he played non-stop for a whopping 23 hours.

Meanwhile, the circus by night is back in town, and Boris is gonna be there to professionally tear the roof of RAI Amsterdam. Valhalla Festival will open its doors for their 2014 edition on the 20th of December. After two sold-out editions their bizarre ride will again feature a line-up that is well-stacked in both the house and techno department, as well as other genres.

This time the winter extravaganza will have seven ares and all kinds of sideshows that fill the routes between the stages. House and deep house fans can get their dance on at the Horse, Bear and Camel stages, where big names from abroad and at home are combined, like The Martinez Brothers, Hot Since 82, Boddika, KiNK, Ben Pearce, De Sluwe Vos, Robin Schulz, Alle Farben, Claptone, Amine Edge & D.A.N.C.E, and many, many more.
