For this week’s special podcast we bring you UK house-star and label owner Adam Shelton. He will be hosting and playing at Visionquest’s Superpleasures, which is one of the most eagerly awaited parties during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event.
Adam Shelton’s career started out more than seven years ago in his hometown of Birmingham. Here he quickly rose through the ranks, armed with his uncanny ability to deliver premium underground house sets. Naturally, producing his own music was the logical step forward. The rest is history: Adam has played at internationally renowned venues like Panorama Bar, Ibiza meccas Cocoon and Space, and, last but not least, London’s Fabric. As a producer his achievements aren’t mediocre, either. Adam has released on 2020 Vision, Magicbag, Illusion and Smoke City, as well as One Records, which he is the co-founder of.
Adam and long-time partner in crime Subb-an launched the One Records imprint back in 2009, gaining notoriety by introducing an underground sound which was soon picked up by dj’s worldwide. Burnski, Geddes, Bonar Bradberry and Buckley are just some of the signed artists.
The One Records main men shall be playing alongside Seth Troxler, crown prince of the illustrious Visionquest at Superpleasures during ADE, October 18th. Visionquest is working together with OR during this event, feauturing two other members of the wild bunch: Ryan Crosson & Shaun Reeves, who will be playing B2B. VQ also invited funk-ambassadors Benoit & Sergio to do a live set. And if all of that isn’t enough, this sweetness will be taking place at ROEST, one of Amsterdam’s hotspots for off the hook, sweltering underground parties.
But until then, dear ravers, you can press play to this special podcast to get yourselves warmed up and get a glimpse of what is to come, that October night.
