Next week Belgium’s long running dance festival Extrema Outdoor is returning for another edition of topshelf music acts and atmosphere. Altogether there will be 16 stages with DJ sets extending over the Pentecost weekend. International promoters Circoloco, Ants,Elrow, Hot Creations and Defected are bringing their A-game alongside national organizers Feestgedruis and Red Bull Elektropedia. Additionally, local clubs Forty Five and Labyrinth Club will be operating on home territory.
From the 13th to the 15th of May at the Houthalen, this year’s XO Belgium promises one of their strongest lineups to date. Loco Dice, Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex, Pan Pot, Kölsch, andGroove Armada are just a few of the headliners XO Belgium has announced. Jamie Jones, Tale of Us and NicFanciuli are making a return to the festival, while Detroit techno legends Jeff Mills and Carl Craig are flying in to make their debut at the Belgian event.
To help you through the near overwhelming musical offering, you can find the timetable to XO Belgium 2016 below. Starting Friday, visitors can enjoy a variety of local acts at the Floorfillers stage, with Joyhauser, Nick Vallon and Anno Stolz. While over at the Forty Five and Cafeina stage, international stars like Matador and Kölsch will close off the first day.
Not to miss on Saturday’s bill is a five-piece series of headliners following each other at the Circoloco stage: from Jackmaster, Black Coffee and Seth Troxler in the early hours to Adriatique and eventually Art Department sealing the night. For tech-house you’ll find your fix at the Redbull stage, where Loco Dice and Pan–Pot will make their appearance, while at the Feestgedruis stage lovers of techno can rejoice in the sounds of Nina Kraviz, Carl Craig and Bjarki.
But save your energy for Sunday, when perhaps the most anticipated artists will show up across the festival. Like at the Red Bull stage, where Maceo Plex, Tale Of Us, Recondite and DJ Tennis will appear. Or at the Labyrinth / Hot Creations stage, where Jamie Jones is leading the bill along with Skream, Cassy and Patrick Toppping. The Feestgedruis stage is host to the biggest name in techno at XO BE this year: Jeff Mills. The Detroit man of mystery will be joined by Blawan, Luke Slater and Marco Faragne.
All in all, you better start planning because this is going to be a long weekend..
