A Day at The Park Festival 2013
On Saturday the 13th of July Amsterdam’s beautiful woodland area will be the backdrop of the truly special and endeared A Day At The Park music festival. In its sixth year, Evotions invites twenty four renowned local and international DJ’s to perform across four stages. They will be the focus as they entertain the dedicated music crowd with various styles of House, melodic techno and nu-disco sounds.
A Day At The Park is unique and it has been successful in creating a chilled out festival vibe by combining green natural surroundings, quality electronic music, excellent culinary treats and fine wines. The festival distinguishes itself by putting emphasis on life’s little pleasures, comfort and good living – it’s beautiful and intricate campaign design (flyers and posters depicting insects, flora and fauna) and catering that includes an oyster stand, food by Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen and a wine (tasting) bar. Activities such as mesh printing and quirky games all complement the festivals concept.
Now back to music. The festivals line up incorporates a nice mix of established and current DJ’s such as Chicago House master Derrick Carter and tech pioneer Josh Wink. Veteran house duo Booka Shade will also be there, on the main stage. Amsterdam based Michel de Hey, duo’s such as Silicone Soul, Todd Terje & Lindstrom and PBR Streetgang will be performing their signature sounds. The new generation of DJ’s include successful names such as No Artificial Colours, Maximiljan and our residents Pony. This is only a small selection of what’s to come – with previous sold out editions A Day At The Park won’t disappoint with a solid line up of ‘disco kings, deep house heroes, techno legends and serious underground talent’.
