On August 24th and 31st, Brazil’s most influential club and one of the best in the world according to a number of dance music media, aka the mighty D-Edge, is to host two parties at Sankeys Ibiza as part of Carnival Cities. It’s a 17 week long project that sees Sankeys invite similarly minded labels and brands to party with them in summer. At the first party we will be present to review this special night. An evening with with a quality crew in Ibiza’s newest club, Sankeys, is set for memorable moments.

D.Edge, run by Renato Ratier – soon to release his own debut album on the D-Edge label – the club has invited some of its favorite international acts to come and play with them at Sankeys Ibiza under the Black Belt banner. Since 2003, D-Edge has been one of Brazil’s most celebrated nightclubs and one always content to going its own way in introducing underground house and techno to the country way ahead of the crowd. The club is a compact but futuristic space with punchy sound system, award winning design, intimate dance floors and LED enhanced lighting that make for a full stimulating audio visual experience.

The first huge party is on August 24th with Renato Ratier, New York House legend Todd Terry and new school tech house duo Waze & Odyssey. Also lining up is One Records boss and the powerhouse behind Birmingham party Below aka Adam Shelton, as well as French house master Phonique, Chad Andrew, BONES, Rod Maya, Miss Soulfly and the Troupe Residents.

Second up is the event on August 31st with Norway’s dirty melodic house man Finebassen, Desolat’s Italian hip house star Pirupa and countryman Leon, garage pioneer Todd Edwards, fast rising Defected producer Nice7, BONES, Rod Maya, Miss Soulfly and the Troupe Residents.

Sankeys has made Saturday night its own out on the White Isle and with D-Edge’s credentials for throwing a party, these two dates are sure to go down in history. Make sure to pay a visit when you are around.  Next week a comprehensive report on how it went down..
