Only sixty-something more days to go until DGTL Festival 2014 will take place in Amsterdam during the Easter weekend. Be there when some of the most acknowledged organizations in the industry will send their finest underground electronica soldiers into the battlefields at the NDSM Docklands. Armed with some of the most contagious weapons of mass eruption, the artists are equipped to come, see and conquer – not only your oozy auditory canals, but also that hidden place in your brain where you store the most exceptional memories. Located on the waterfront of the city harbour, DGTL Festival has chosen the perfect site to kick off the Dutch outdoor festival season, with two days of festival madness, six stages endowed with explosive sound systems, 81 invited top-notch artists and over eleven thousand thrill-anticipating attendees on fb.

In our “DGTL Stages” series, DHA each week will provide a recommending outlook on the different stages at DGTL festival 2014. This week we take a look at the notorious German electronica labels Kompakt and Innervisions.

Kompakt.Fm – Saturday, 19th of April
Let yourself be dragged into the minimalistic sound of Cologne by the lads from the crew. Providing their peers with innovative and polarizing music since 1998, Kompakt could soon spread its tunes from their local ‘studio 672’ over to crowded dance floors all over Europe. Become a part of the scene when Kompakt’s most popular export hit, Gui Boratto, will play his live set for you. The Brasilian expat is known for his unique ability to bewitch the crowd and to guide it through the winding jungle of his beats. He can count on some talented colleagues to back him up on this as well. In fact, there is a whole DJ crew waiting to appease their thirst for action. Kölsch, Michael Mayer, Robag Wruhme, Coma, Reinhard Voigt and Terranova are about to bring it down to the core: Warm beats, hypnotic bass lines and mellow-euphoric chants is what you can expect. Coming from the Carneval Capital of Cologne, those guys know how to entertain a party. For sure. Bring the confetti and leave your bourgeois way of life at home!

Innervisions – Sunday, 20th of April
Representing is a matter for the bosses. That’s why Innervisions label founders Dixon and Âme decided to play a back to back set for the DGTL crowd. So do not miss this unique chance of witnessing an electro-nuclear meltdown by two of Berlin’s hottest acts at present. If you want to convince yourself then check this out.

Âme will also play one of their infamous live sets, which are known to creep under your skin. The guys can count on the support from their label mates Mano le tough, Marcus Worgull and Baikal. Mano has not only gained attention for his remixes of artists such as Aloe Blacc, Midnight Magic or Sea Creatures but also for his monthly party ‘Passion Beat’ in Berlin. Marcus Worgull is famous for his selection of well-made and often newly laid house music that knows its roots as well as it is yearning for the future. If you haven’t heard about Baikal by now, you should definitely check him out too. He makes multi layered electronic music for the heart, mind and feet…
