During summer 2014 you also had your first ENTER. Experience. What is it like to be part of this massive production?
It was great. I’ve known Richie for a long time and is a pleasure to be part of such a big thing. He is always up there coming up with crazy ideas and pushing new artists and I will always respect that. Ibiza is a big part of my life and I play all the big parties, I’m lucky!

You finished 2014 with a bang and a bag of remixes to Rompecorazones from dear friends. How did you choose who you would like to take part in that?
It was so exciting to find the artists and wait for their work. I’ve been so lucky to have so many amazing producers reworking the songs, Carl Craig! Osunlade, Charles Webster! and then many friends of mine that also made the record so special. Nic Fanciulli, Reboot, Damian, Livio & Roby, Andrea Oliva. I’ve picked artists that I love and admire. Almost everyone I wanted to be in, made it! Like a little dream team.

The madness in the year started early with The BPM festival. You played a couple of big parties with tINI, Loco Dice and Livio & Roby. Can you share more about your experience at the festival?
I love the BPM, they have the best vibe. For me it is a place to meet your friends after a long year and have a laugh and listen to good music. It is the best way to start another year all together. Music, margaritas and Mexican food never go wrong.

Which was the craziest thing that happened at BPM?
We had our party Used and Abused, and I played at 8 in the morning after Dice! That night was crazy. I’m not big fan of telling things that happen at night, but yes I can tell you this was one of the best I had in a long time.

Most recently you became a resident of Verboten in New York. We all know this club is the pillar of underground music in the US. How did it all happen?
I’m so happy to be able to play my music in the States. It’s becoming a big part of my touring life. I also have a residency at Trade in Miami. With Verboten everything happened really smoothly. I love the club, and the sound system is so good! Jen and John are cool guys and we have known each other for a long time. So it feels good to be their resident. I can’t wait to come back.

As a pianist, have you considered a daring future project that would engage playing classical piano and other instruments more?
We are doing a Rompecorazones sound system concert. Instead of a normal label showcase when you have every other artist playing after each other, I have made it like a little orchestra. So you will have Francesco Tristano, Julien Quentin and other musicians (including me) playing all together. Should be good!

We’ve seen on Facebook that you are actually engaging with your fans and reply to comments. Do you think that’s an important thing to do in order to sustain a good relationship with them apart from the music?
Well it is all depending on the time I have. But I always try to have contact with them and see what is going on.

The line up of Awakenings festival 2015 has just been announced. It’s going to be massive and you are part of it. Is it going to be your first encounter with Awakenings?
I never played the festival before! And I’m so excited. I love to play in the Netherlands, especially in the summer. I love the energy of the festivals. And the party culture you guys have. To be a live act has more to do with my approach to performing music than to make a statement. I make music all the time, every day, it’s natural for me to perform my own music.

Do you like planning the future, or do you prefer going with the flow and discovering what the universe has to offer as it happens?
I always go with the flow, trying to live life to the fullest, I get super excited about everything, and with the years I’ve started planning too. But i always try to keep it fresh and exciting for myself.

What else does 2015 hold for you?
Album out, touring the world, see my label grow, put some records out. And some concerts with the orchestra, happiness!
