Hamburg-based duo Adana Twins have got a fresh EP lined up to be released on Exploited next week, March 10. The title-track to “Drive” is a collaboration with Khan, a laid-back groover that follows the hypnotizing Adana formula. Check out its full premiere right here.
4 years shy into their first breakthrough, Adana Twins formed out of Take It Easy and Friso and raveled the dance music industry into a twister that spun around their music in accordance to labels such as Exploited, Jackmode, Baalsaal Records and their very own born and raised Jeudi Records. Their most prominent release “Everyday”, welcomed also on Exploited Records, has a legacy of little over two years and bumped the name of Adana Twins onto a different hierarchy as the record found itself in the playlists of almost every known and unknown DJ on the planet, toping Beatport & Resident Advisor charts for quite some time. The hit lead them onto remixing tracks onto other well-known labels such as 2DIY4, Get Physical, Noir and several others.
Their approach to music is a somewhat lethal combination of influences ranging from real school hip hop legends like Black Star & Dilated Peoples, to techno and house. Each year the duo pulls out of their goodie bag hit after hit in the form of a collaboration with the likes of Digitaria, Robosonic or Kruse & Nuernberg, continuing to impress both the public and peers.
Their upcoming EP “Drive” on Exploited will drop on March 10, but they haven’t stopped teasing us since they announced this work early on. This Easter the will make their presence again in Amsterdam as part of DGTL festival on the Phono stage along names like Finnebassen, Hector Couto, Waifs & Strays & Prunk. Be sure to catch them playing on the 20th of April.
