Weval is a collaboration between two pals from the Netherlands – Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers. Both Harm and Merijn got their start in the film industry, which is where they met in 2010. When they found out they shared the same love for creating electronic music, they decided to team up.

2014 started with a bang for the duo. Their track “Detian” got featured in the new Schweppes commercial starring Penelope Cruz. Meanwhile the guys worked on a new EP for Kompakt (out October 2014), released a remix for the legendary Gui Boratto and saw their Half Age EP climbing in the iTunes top 100 for months and a #5 highest notation in France. The guys performed their live set at Pitch Festival and Trouw which lead to many more gigs in Europe. September 9th will see a vinyl re-issue of their debut EP: “Half Age” and a new single: “Rooftop Paradise (Live)”.

You can check out Weval on in September during Into The Woods Festival, Incubate in Tilburg and Next Monday’s Hangover. During October’s ADE they’ll have two gigs, one at Atomnation Night and the next day at DGTL’s Kompakt Night.

September 9th will see a (vinyl) re-issue of Weval’s debut EP: “Half Age” and a new single: “Rooftop Paradise (Live)”, which will be available as a Beatport bonus track.
