After our dutch pride Prunk, who’s mix was a massive succes with over 15.000 plays, we now have the Venezuelan duo Fur Coat. A nice mix to cool down from that amazing first festival of the year.
You may think Fur Coat is a quiet new act in the scene but the reality is quite different. Even before the Venezuelan pair met at a house party in 2004, Israel Sunshine was building a solid reputation as a DJ, and Sergio Muñoz was successfully producing his own sound by his alias back then “ Delete “ for a number of different labels.
It was a trip to Ibiza that inspired Israel to fully immerse himself in electronic music, while Sergio was locally DJ-ing. Through a mutual appreciation of food, movies, partying and each other’s work, this expressive pair became close friends, and shared there musical passions for Funk, Latin and electronic music. Now a few years later these great artists made it to the top of the scene with releases and remixes on Crosstown Rebels, Culprit, Supernature and many more respected labels. With their groovy sound and catchy melancholic vocals the tracks of Fur Coat will be heard on dance floors all around the world.
On may 18th these bad boys are back in Amsterdam at Downtown ‘De Lentetuin’ Festival with Audiojack, Flashmob, Cozzy D, Max Chapman and much more! Tickets are stil available, so get them while you still can!
