Most of us have been on a plane before, but if you’ve ever flown to places like Mallorca or Ibiza you know the atmosphere is more party than travel. The same thing goes for the train. Now, can you imagine if the party-in-transport concept was a real thing? Well, imagine no more as BigCityBeats is now making it possible.
As German radio station BigCityBeats will (once again) transform Frankfurt’s Commerzbank Arena into the World Club Dome, or the ‘biggest club in the world, 150 DJs will descend on the techno mecca over 3 days in June. Included in the big time line up are some of the undergrounds biggest names like Jamie Jones, Carl Craig, Âme, DJ Koze, Deep Dish and Joris Voorn. If this wasn’t enough, we now have news that the organisation has added a new perk to the experience with a very special (not to mention, unique) style of transportation.
First, there will be high-speed train from Paris to Frankfurt. On it, 400 dedicated party people will get the chance to dance while enjoying panoramic views en route on the world’s first party train. On board the World Club Dome Ice Train, there will be a club floor behind the conductor’s cabin and a second behind the dining car pumping out a 130 beats/minute soundtrack. There will also be a chill-out car at the end of the train for people trying to build their energy before the big show begins.
Though the train sounds good, BigCityBeats has another trick up their sleeve with the world’s highest club. Hovering at 10,000m overhead, the BigCitybeats Airline, the Boeing 757 club plane with a booming sound system, will leave London in the morning, make a stop in Hamburg and land in London in time for the opening of World Club Dome. Onboard, a suprise DJ will be warming up passengers from take off to landing, setting the mood for an epic weekend to come.
Tickets on board both are being issued as part of a prize draw, which you can enter here (Plane) and here (Train).
