On Saturday, the 20th of September, Roest will open its doors for Next Monday’s Hangover first indoor season event. At this dream location, which has been at the top of NMH’s list of venues to tick off, Robag Wruhme, Pachanga Boys, DJ Tennis and others will be making their appearance. Next to these names, a collective of artists will be taking care of the lightning show, which will be unconventional to say the least.
The motivation behind the line-up for the event comes from the love of three specific labels that the guys behind NMH particularly love: Kompakt, Life And Death & (DJ Koze‘s) Pampa. From each one of the imprints one or more DJs have been invited. Cologne’s Kompakt label has been an institution within the underground dance scene since the nineties. Since its takeover by Michael Mayer around 20 years ago, the label that was once adrift got new meaning quickly, by carefully selecting those artists that would make a difference in the airwaves. Thanks to guys like Kölsch, COMA, Barnt, Gui Boratto and many others this label has been a source of inspiration for many. For this event the Kompakt team will be consisting of Robag Wruhme, who is also representing Pampa, Pachanga boys and the Dutch rising star Weval. Weval actually got signed by Kompakt after their first Amsterdam gig during an edition of Next Monday’s Hangover last year. Expect to be hearing from these guys.
The pioneering Italian label Life and Death is probably just as high up the ladder right now as Kompakt is. Dark, ominous future music has become their trademark after brilliant releases by stable superstars Tale Of Us, Vaal, Mind Against, Thugfucker and label owner Tennis himself. Also representing the LaD next to DJ Tennis is Avatism, who will be treating the crowd to one of his special live sets. Last but not least in this royal company of DJs is NMH’s very own Some Chemistry.

The lightning effects will be taken care of by a group of artists that have gotten the challenge to bend an everyday lightning show into a broader statement, through lightinstallations, unconventional visuals and several optical illusions. This will be a nice contribution to the music that will be heard during that September night.
The first round of tickets go on sale on the 24th of June.
