Croatia-based Dimensions Festival has released the first phase of their line-up this week. The organization has made it clear again that they’re a force to be reckoned with within the Balkan region, where an underground dance music scene seems to be blossoming more and more. The first names for Dimensions 2015 include such top-of-the-bill names as Lil Louis, Ben UFO, Delano Smith, Mount Kimbie and Moodymann.
Since its humble beginnings in 2012, Dimensions has set itself on the map as an alternative and exotic getaway for music lovers in the region and those adventurous enough to look further than the standard large-scale festivals in Europe. Dimensions is set in a pretty wondrous environment, to say the least. For five days, visitors can immerse themselves in sun and music in and around grandiose backdrops such as a 19th-century fort and a Roman amphitheatre, all centered around the beach in the ancient city of Pula.
Next to abovementioned headliners there is more to be found in this first phase of artists, like MCDE, Horse Meat Disco, DJ Deep, Paranoid London, Max Graef, Fierce, (Kettenkarrussel’s) Konstantin, Osunlade and Pearson Sound, Rødhåd, Ben Klock, Surgeon, Anthony Parasole and Truncate.
Aside from the standard programming there are also daily boatparties to attend. Here you’ll dance to yet to be named acts with the sun-soaked, azure blue Mediterranean literally at your feet. Another one of Dimensions’ flagship features is their soundsystem, which they say is sublime to the enormous detail to technical specifications and sonic mapping of the various partying environments to create the best listening experience for its visitors. Here are some of the highlights from last year’s edition.
Stay tuned for more names and info to be released soon.
