With great pleasure we present you this week’s second mixtape, this time by Cologne’s finest: Andhim. Yesterday an interview, today a mixtape and tonight they will be playing at Pleinvrees Weekender. We can’t seem to get enough of these guys.
Andhim are Tobias and Simon, two long-time friends with a hip-hop history who decided to form a Super House duo at a Bavarian sausage-eating contest. Facing each other in the final round covered from head to toe in sausage. It was then and there that they formed, in Andhim’s words, their ‘boyband’.
Their career started off in 2010. Less than 12 months later they were on the top of the German charts and their records could be found in the cases of famous DJ’s worldwide. Remix requests soon followed, like the amazing edit for Theophilus London’s ‘Wine And Chocolates‘. Their productions have been released on imprints such as Monaberry, Sunset Handjob and Terminal M. Add this to a massive, worldwide touring schedule, they played 120 gigs last year, and you have one hell of an impressive career.
Tonight the boys will be playing at Pleinvrees Weekender, where we will be treated to two days of pure house magic, starting tonight, featuring the creme de la creme of the industry. Guy Gerber, Oliver Koletzki, Gabriel Ananda, Claptone, Hot Since ’82 and Homework are just a fraction of the acts supported on the line up.
