Amongst the names on the compilation are the likes of Recondite, Hunter/Game, and Aether, but today we focus on the revered hardware master that is Mathew Jonson. Mathew is one of the most distinctive voices in modern electronic music. The classically trained musician with a keen understanding for the needs of the dance floor and the universal laws of house and techno, has thrown out the rulebooks time and again, while maintaining a diverse portfolio of projects and work, including Cobblestone Jazz, Midnight Operator and the Modern Deep Left Quartet, and with his Wagon Repair and (brand new) Freedom Engine label.
Here, Mathew Jonson joins the Afterlife family with his signature, twisting and evolving melody lines, coming in the form of ‘The Prophet’.
