‘Fifth Beatle’ George Martin, who passed away last week aged 90, was still actively working with, and in music through even his final years. His last project is a celebrity-filled documentary series on his work and the history, innovation and legendary moments in studio recording called ‘Soundbreaking’.

Over 150 artists, including Paul McCartney, Brian Eno, Nile Rodgers, Quincy Jones, Rick Rubin, Tony Visconti, RZA, Joni Mitchell, Dave Grohl, Questlove, Bon Iver, Beck, Ad-Rock, Roger Waters, Daniel Lanois, Mark Ronson, Ringo Starr, Roger Daltrey, Willie Nelson, B.B. King, Debbie Harry and Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels are featured in interviews in the series. Soundbreaking will air on PBS in November – although the first two episodes have premiered at SXSW Festival.
