Lex: While Peter was at the Endless showcase it was time for me and the rest of the crew to go to the Boiler Room with the same Diynamic crew from last night behind the decks. But trying to go there didn’t really work out.. We might have not really paid attention, as it took us hours walking around not finding the place.. So after a long walk in the jungle we returned to our apartment and decided to watch it from there. When hearing from other people how magical it was, as it continued till late in the night even after the streaming stopped, we were a bit bumped.. But there was enough good stuff on the menu and there was no time to feel sorry for ourselves. That day we decided to relax a bit and treat ourselves to a good meal in the middle of a jungle scenery. When walking back to our place we walked right into a pop-up party where Apollonia was playing an amazing set right from a Taco-shop, how cool is that? Later that night we paid a lil’ visit to our friend Holosound playing at the Baum showcase but afterwards we got to bed early for an early rise the next morning to get some work done starting from 8am.

At 4pm we thought it was time to get out of our lil’ office space and enjoy some sand between our toes and good beats. Me and the crew visited the Warung/D-Edge Showcase with Renato Ratier, Subb-an, Kate Simko, Adnan Sharif and Animal Trainer at Canibal Royal, a great lil venue right on the water with an amazing view. It was a great warm up for later that night; Innervisions at Blue Venado.

Canibal Royal is a cozy beachfront venue.

Peter: Arguably the most anticipated event of this year’s festival was Innervisions at Blue Venado. The stories about last year almost reached mythical proportions and the line-up was finger-licking good again this time. We arrived rather late as we expected the event to last at least till noon. Unfortunately the night before the Paradise party hadn’t gone according to plan and therefore the organization and/or the authorities decided that Innervisions had to stop at 7am. This meant that sets were shorter and by the time we got there Mano Le Tough was already halfway. Next up was Henrik Schwarz, the incredibly talented and diverse German DJ/producer. At Amsterdam Dance Event he played amongst two jazz musicians, here he rocked the dance floor with a stunning up-tempo deep house live set. To complete this musical feast the world’s number one DJ Hardwell, no strike that, Dixon was closing. And for everyone who still had any doubts about his election he gave away a masterclass. DJ perfection in person. Every track, every sample, every mix, it was all perfect.

The internet does not lie, Dixon was simply amazing at the BPM festival.
