Zurich based DJ Jimi Jules exemplifies his Caribbean roots with soulful undertones in his new release “It’s Me, Music”.
Having been raised upon a musical background, Jimi Jules has an exciting album release ahead of him. Furthering his youth involvement with his magnificent ability to play both the trumpet and a bass tuba, Jules decided to cut out any logistical problems and turn his focus to electronic music. It has come as no surprise that Jimi’s musical efforts have been recognised and accredited all over Europe. Jules successfully managed to top Beatport for over two weeks with his beloved acquaintance Oliver $ with their summer nostalgia packed release of ‘Pushing On’.
As a continuation of his efforts to delve deeper into the scene, whilst retaining his melodic jazz roots, Jules inhabits a selective approach to the sounds he wants to be renowned for. Blessing Berlin in establishments such as Watergate, it is certain that his progression and involvement in the electronic music scene is here to stay. Our exclusive premiere is a taster ahead of his forthcoming album “Equinox” on Zukunft Records. Expect a collective mix of timely percussion that exudes soulful hints of jazz, not forgetting those robotic sounds we’re always looking for. Let’s hope his hair is here to stay as long as his musical efforts are…
“Equinox” is available 10 October on Zukunft Records
