Two years ago a new winter festival was born when Verknipt and Deep House Amsterdam joined forces to create Wonderland Festival. Since then Westerunie, Westerliefde and Transformatorhuis where transformed to a place where mad things happen and nothing is what it seems. Now it’s time to play outside.
After two memorable sold-out indoor winter events, it’s time for Wonderland Festival to cast its wings over the festival season by introducing the very first summer edition. On the 29th of August Verknipt is going to do what they do best, at one of the wondrous locations that Amsterdam has to offer: Diemerbos. Expect an intimate festival where some of the most diverse international and local acts in house, techno and disco will be playing across three different stages.
We are exited about announcing the first names already. Sidney Charles, Jonas Rathsmann and Tom Demac are the first artist to be announced for Verknipts debut summer spectacle and many more big names will follow soon. Next to the delicious line up there will of course be plenty of care given to other entertainment in the side programming. So round up your best friend, get your tickets and crawl through the rabbit hole to close off the festival season.
Verknipt has made a name for itself in a short period of time by organising parties in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Venues like Westerunie, Sugar Factory, Club Poema or Winkel van Sinkel were all host to one or more events before they moved to Westerunie for two XL editions. Verknipt is known for stylish, colourful designs, a blend of house and techno DJs and visitors who are kindly asked to leave their normal self at home and come as their crazy alter-ego. Just take a look at the aftermovies of this years Wonderland indoor edition.
