Serving as the opening night extravaganza to 2016’s Dekmantel Festival, the newly expanded Opening Concerts program includes acts such as avant-garde electronica pioneer Cabaret Voltaire, Brazilian jazz-trio Azymuth, a 20-year celebration of Raster-Noton, and Nine Inch Nails collaborator Alessandro Cortini.

The announcement of these additional acts comes after February’s, which already mentioned an exclusive live-show from James Holden, afro-beat legend Tony Allen, as well as Shackleton & Ernesto Tomasini.

All Opening Concerts will take place across four conveniently located cultural institutions on and around Amsterdam’s IJ-River. Similar to last year, the awe-inspiring Muziekgebouw will return with the addition of a shop at Bimhuis, EYE Film Institute and Paradiso’s new dependence Tolhuistuin. Additionally, Dekmantel will also offer lectures, a film screening, and a complementary night-program on August 4th, with further details still to come.

As individual tickets for all the concerts will be available Thursday March 10, 12:00 PM CET, be sure to be the first to grab them, because they are guaranteed to go fast!
