As the winter holidays are upon us, what are you going to cook for your family? Ultimate Christmas dish recipe?
I cooked 3 courses last year and it killed me. I was so tired. I think me and my mum will split the work this year. My main course last year was this: Chestnut, Spinach, Wild Rice & Goats Cheese Stuffed Chicken served with De-Constructed Pigs in Blankets (with an apple& cinnamon reduction), Spiced Carrot Puree, Deep Fried Quail Eggs, Roast Potatoes, Festive vegetables & a Chicken Liver and Red Wine Jus
So you are playing at Valhalla next month for the first time. The festival is built around a circus theme and will include some special acts next to the musical performances. Do you think this should happen more at events?
I love extra production, especially at festivals. It’s something unique and my favourite festivals have a lot of that going on. Experiences to share with your friends like this will make memories for a lifetime.
Besides a great party scene Amsterdam offers a great deal of happy makers. Anything in particular you enjoy the most?
I love pretty much everything about Amsterdam, I think it’s my favourite city outside of the UK. For me the culture to sit outside, relax and drink with friends is just fantastic. It’s not exactly warm like spain or anywhere but it’s something about the atmosphere that just makes you feel like it is.
So let’s move on to your most recently launched Sextape Series. What is the idea behind that concept?
I did a few podcasts with that concept and a lot of people loved them. It’s fun, no nonsense music that’s not there to be cutting edge
or underground. It’s just something to sing along or dance to, there’ll be some extra bits of production at the events, a lot of glitter!
Also what is the plan with your label? Any exciting things happening there?
Our next release is from Harry Wolfman, remixes from Waifs & Strays & Vessels. I’m really looking forwad to this release, I love it. We’re going into 2015 in a good way and trying to push things forward. It’s feeling positive.
Any new year resolutions for 2015?
Ask me again on New Years. I’m joking, I’m not sure yet… there’s probably a few things I should do but we’ll see
